Must be wearing your school ID to attend any event.
If you are in Redbird Nest, you must wear your school ID but your Redbird Nest card can be on your phone.
Students – No bags or purses of any kind.
No food or drink allowed in.

AHS Athletic Event Attendance Policy
All students must have their school ID to be able to enter any athletic event. If you do not have your school ID you will not be admitted to the game.

All Middle School and Elementary Students must enter the athletic event with an adult or chaperone and remain with the adult or chaperone at all times

12th Night Middletown Bonfire

Announcing the return of the 12th NIGHT CELEBRATION at Haskell Park with carols, cookies, wassail, and the traditional bonfire!
This event will be held on Saturday, JANUARY 6, 2024 at 6:00 pm. *Bonfire will be lit by the Alton Fire Department at 6:30.
Your live tree donations (for our bonfire) are greatly appreciated! The trees can be placed in the park (12th and Henry side) where the bonfire will be located.
Please join us in bidding farewell to the 2023 holiday season. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE

ALTON EAGLE ICE FESTIVAL 2024

Enjoy a variety of activities in celebration of wintering American Bald Eagles returning to southwest Illinois during Eagle Fest! The celebration will take place at FLOCK Food Truck Park, National Great Rivers Museum and the Audubon Center at Riverlands.
Get a bite to eat, see a live eagle from the World Bird Sanctuary, take an eagle-watching tour, and enjoy fun winter activities for all ages!
All events are taking place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Here are highlights of activities available:

School-Wide Expectations
• Remove hats and hoods while in school
• Ensure ID is on and visible
• Use appropriate and respectful language
• Report to all classes on time
• Carry a visible and signed pass if out of class for any reason
Redbird Reminders:
Advisory Period
• Students will get credit for Advisory class starting second semester
• Students will receive .25 credits for each semester (pass/fail)
• Student with a GPA higher than a 4.0 can opt for a “S” rather than a “P”
• If a student has 11 or more absences he/she/they will not receive credit
• Advisory does NOT raise credit requirements for graduation
• Tardies to Advisory class will count towards Second Semester Final Exam Exemption
Redbird Reminders:
New Tardy Progressive Discipline Starts January
• EVERY TARDY COUNTS!
• Progressive Discipline is based on increments of 5… to any class.
• 5 Tardies – letter home outlining progressive discipline
• 10 Tardies – lunch detention and letter home
• 15 Tardies – 3 periods of ISS and letter home
• 20 Tardies – full day of ISS and letter home
• 25 Tardies – meeting with parents and a safety plan
