ALTON JAZZ FESTIVAL
The popular Alton Jazz Festival will return this summer on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at the Alton
Amphitheater! The festival begins at 6 p.m. and concludes at 10 p.m. Tickets are required to attend this event.
6:00pm – Gates Open
6:30pm – Alton Jazz Confluence
7:15pm – Jason Swagler and Weather Forever
8:45pm – Dawn Weber-Kasimu Taylor-Danny Campbell Trumpet Trio

SATURDAY
WILDERNESS FIRST AID
Join TNI to learn the basics of Wilderness First Aid (WFA). This two day
intensive course covers essential principles and skills necessary for
backcountry and isolated situations. The course is taught by a professional
instructor with patient care and backcountry experience from Wilderness
Medical Associates (WMA), who have been setting the standard in wilderness
medicine for over 30 years. $250/members, $270/non-members. Spots are
limited. This program runs on September 2-3, 2023, from 8 am – 6 pm each
day.
SATURDAY
The Friends of Hayner Library holds a regularly-scheduled book sale
on the first Saturday of the month. Materials of all sorts are available
for purchase including books for all ages, newspapers, magazines,
movies, and more! However, there may be times when the volunteers
are unavailable to hold the sale. If you would like to call the Friends
building before you arrive, please call (618) 462-4396.
SUNDAY
Love Cajun food? Come to FLOCK & Food Truck Park September 3 for
Beignets on the Bayou, a Cajun food fest in partnership with Gumbo 2 Geaux
! This cash only event runs from 11 AM – 2 PM or until sold out and will feature
shrimp & grits, gumbo, fresh fried beignets, creme brulee cold brew coffee,
and drinks from FLOCK
