SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING, DO SOMETHING
We want to keep everyone safe and healthy. If you see or hear something that doesn’t sound quite right–say something to a teacher, administrator, or other staff member. We can never be too careful. Do the right thing!!
STUDENT ID’S
Student’s, if your ID is lost or you just need a new hole punch…please come to B205 before school & let us know. We will issue you a brand new ID or get you a new hole punch. ALSO, please remember to return any extra ID’s you have to B205.
FCA or the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is having our first meeting. We will meet this Wednesday and every 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 7:50 AM in B351. We will have food, fun and fellowship. We will eat, hang out for a bit, and probably talk a bit about Jesus.
You do not be a Christian or an Athlete. All are welcome! Please come join us as we do our best to grow our amazing positive community.
The meeting details were the 2nd and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:50 AM in B351. For any questions please contact Mr. Spainhour.
Calliope [pronounced Ka-lie-o-pea] is having our first meeting in Ms. Jackson’s room, B168, after school on September 18th. All future meetings will be held after school on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. Calliope is a collection of work from artists of all types: the poets and the writers; the painters and the sketchers; the photographers and the visionaries. We gather art from across the school and compile the submissions into an annual issue to showcase the immense talent at Alton High!
Meetings often start with a fun game to get members talking and creating. After playing the game, we get down to business discussing different subjects like fundraising, T-shirt ideas, and any other member concerns. The major work – curating the magazine and selecting student art submissions – usually becomes the focus closer to the publication time.
Please speak with Mr. Sautman or Ms Jackson if you have any questions!
