Cafeteria Seat Assignments
Students will have the first FIVE days of school to choose a table assignment for first semester.
Admin will visit tables next Friday, August 23rd to confirm table assignments.

Tardy Progressive Discipline
• EVERY TARDY COUNTS!
• Progressive Discipline is based on increments of 5… to any class.
• 5 Tardies – letter home outlining progressive discipline
• 10 Tardies – lunch detention and letter home
• 15 Tardies – 3 periods of ISS and letter home
• 20 Tardies – full day of ISS and letter home
• 25 Tardies – meeting with parents and a safety plan

STUDENT PARKING
Students who park in spaces 608-738 should have their vehicles moved prior to 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays from now through October. The band utilizes the parking lot for their rehearsals and need vehicles out of these spaces.
GSA GENDER AND SEXUALITY ALLIANCE
The Alton High School Gender and Sexuality Alliance or GSA will be having our first meeting on Wednesday, September 18th at 3:20 in Room A122. GSAs (Gender and Sexuality Alliances) are leading the work to create safe and LGBTQ-inclusive schools, and student organizers are the nation’s most powerful base for creating change.
Along with providing space to organize, GSAs are spaces where students can receive support, socialize, and find community together.
ALL students regardless of gender or sexual preference are welcome.

STUDENT ID’S
Student’s, if your ID is lost or you just need a new hole punch…please come to B205 before school & let us know. We will issue you a brand new ID or get you a new hole punch. ALSO, please remember to return any extra ID’s you have to B205.

We want to keep everyone safe and healthy. If you see or hear something that doesn’t sound quite right–say something to a teacher, administrator, or other staff member. We can never be too careful. Do the right thing!!

The Anime Club meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school in Room B231.

The Alton High School Step Team will have a very important informational meeting for all students who are interested.

AHS Athletic Event Attendance Policy
All students must physically have their school ID to be able to enter any athletic contest. If you do not have your school ID, you will not be admitted to the event. Your ID loaded on your phone will not work.
All Middle School and Elementary Students must enter the athletic contest with an adult or chaperone and remain with the adult or chaperone at all times
Redbird Nest members must have a school ID and their Redbird Nest card to enter the athletic contest for FREE. These items can be loaded on their phone.
Even if you are an athlete in season, you still must have your school ID to get into any athletic event.
You cannot load your school ID on your phone. You can load your Redbird Nest card on your phone though but not your school ID.
AMS students have to be with an adult to get into any athletic event and they must stay with the adult. They must also have their school ID with them.
No outside food or drink is allowed to be brought into athletic contests
No large purses/gym bags or book bags are allowed to be brought into athletic contests and all bags and purses are subject to be searched
