This year’s Homecoming Dance, “Glitz, Glam, & Jazz!” will be held on Saturday, October 11 from 7 to 10 pm in the AHS Main Gym. Tickets to the dance are $20 and will be available for purchase beginning Monday, September 29 through Friday, October 3. Students who wish to bring a guest who is NOT an AHS student, must get their guest approved before purchasing a ticket. Guest forms are available in the Library now, and must be submitted to Ms. Griswold in the Library by no later than Friday, September 26. NO late forms will be accepted.
SCHOLAR BOWL
If you like trivia and like to compete, scholar bowl could be for you. Scholar Bowl practices are on Monday and Tuesday after school in room B251 with matches to begin at the end of October. For more details, contact Dr. Hurley in room B251.

Congratulations to our Varsity Lady Redbird Girls Volleyball squad on finishing with a 3-2 record in the 31st Annual Alton Girls Volleyball Invite over the weekend. These ladies competed all weekend dropping two close matches to two of the teams that finished above them in the final standings for the tournament. Lots to build on for sure.

Senior Hank McClaine had an OUTSTANDING day on Saturday at the Belleville West XC Invite. Hank recorded a 15:16:50 on the 3-mile course to take top honors and win the Varsity meet in thrilling fashion. He is ready for a big fall this season.
