Saturday Scholars!
Any students interested in Saturday Scholars for February of 2025 can get information from Mrs. Laaker in B307. This is a cadaver lab field trip year so make sure your registration is picked up and turned in by December 20th.
Winter Play
Auditions for the winter play will be next wednesday, December 11 after school in the auditorium from 3:30-5pm. Auditions are a cold read, you do not have to prepare anything and are open to anyone. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Doering in room B182
Study Tips
No matter what you do to study it is always important to
-Get a Good Night’s sleep
-switch up your study environment-studies show switching your environment can increase recall and performance
-Eliminate distractions
-Snack on smart foods-no caffeine and focus on nuts and fruits
Common Study Methods
SQ4R
Survey – Instead of reading the entire book start by skimming the first chapter and taking notes.
Question – Formulate questions around the chapter’s content.
Read – Begin reading the chapter and look for answers to the questions you made.
Reflect – Think about how all the information fits into the bigger picture and what you already know.
Recite – After reading and reflecting on the section, summarize what you just read in your own words
Review – Once you finish the whole chapter review the material
