Beginning Thursday, September 12, the Library will be open before school for students who would like a quieter space to hang out until the school day begins. For any student wishing to come to the library in the morning, please do the following:
Finish eating breakfast before coming to the library.
Find a comfortable seat.
Read, study, talk quietly with a friend, or just relax.
Remain in the library until you are dismissed to advisory.

VOTER REGISTRATION
Tuesday Sept.17th is National Voter Registration Day.
VOTER REGISTRATION
Any student that will be 18 years old by Nov 5 can register to vote that day during all lunch periods in the cafeteria.
You will need 2 forms of id – student id and a driver’s license or state id that has your current address on it is acceptable.

GENDER AND SEXUALITY ALLIANCE OR GSA
The Alton High School GSA will be having our first meeting on Wednesday, September 18th at 3:20 in Room A122. GSAs (Gender and Sexuality Alliances) are leading the work to create safe and LGBTQ-inclusive schools, and student organizers are the nation’s most powerful base for creating change. Along with providing space to organize, GSAs are spaces where students can receive support, socialize, and find community together.
ALL students regardless of gender or sexual preference are welcome.

STUDENT ID’S
Student’s, if your ID is lost or you just need a new hole punch…please come to B205 before school & let us know. We will issue you a brand new ID or get you a new hole punch. ALSO, please remember to return any extra ID’s you have to B205.
FCA or the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is having our first meeting. We will meet this Wednesday and every 2nd and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 7:50 AM in B351. We will have food, fun and fellowship. We will eat, hang out for a bit, and probably talk a bit about Jesus.
You do not be a Christian or an Athlete. All are welcome! Please come join us as we do our best to grow our amazing positive community.
