This Friday, on Valentine’s day, Jacoby Arts Center is holding a Special Valentines Day Open Art/Open Mic Night with a variety of different Valentine day related activities. The event will be going from 7 PM until 11 PM. Tickets are available to anyone 14, and up, they are $3 per person and can be pre-purchased on the Jacoby Arts Center’s website or the day of at the door.

The tickets include love letter writing, photo booths, lego therapy, love song karaoke, jewelry making, and collage making. There are more activities for additional charges; one of these is a painting party; the expenses will cost $15 for individuals and $25 for couples. They will have all of the required painting materials, and there will be a guide, so no experience is required.

Anyone who purchases tickets in advance will have their name put on a door list, and anyone who buys tickets day of the event will have to check into the box office. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable, so make sure your calendar is clear before you purchase them. Parking is available in the gravel parking lot at the side of the building.

Jacoby Arts Center is setting out to promote and spread art through exhibits and events like these. “The purpose of the night is for people to come in and experience the arts,” said Joshua Grassle of Jacoby Arts Center, so if you are looking for a new creative way to spend this Valentine’s day, this is the right way to go. The doors will be open an hour early, so feel free to come in and look around. As it says on the Jacoby Arts Center website, “Come early and stay late. Explore the arts!”
