POWERPUFF 2025
Attention juniors and seniors! It’s time for the annual Powerpuff Football Game! This exciting tradition is open to all junior and senior girls who want to play. To participate, you must have a valid sports physical on file, pay the twenty-five dollar fee—which includes your hoodie that serves as your uniform—and attend the required player meeting.
And we can’t forget the sidelines—we are also looking for junior and senior guys to join as Powerpuff cheerleaders!
Don’t miss your chance to be part of the fun. The game is Friday, November 7th under the lights! More details about the meeting,date,and game time will be announced soon

VOLLEYBALL OCTOBER 23 @ 5:45 VS COLLINSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL
Congratulations to our Varsity Lady Redbird Girls XC squad with their 3rd Place finish overall in the SWC XC Conference meet this past week. Senior Sophia Helfrich led the Redbird effort with 20:29.10 and was followed up by Senior Aliyah Rehling with a 20:53.30. Allison Pruitt, Morgan Jinks, Anna Caughran, and Haylee Brown all contributed to this excellent effort. This squad has a great chance advancing out of the IHSA Regional this weekend.
SMOOTHIE KING ATHLETES OF THE MONTH
SABRINA COY
Junior Sabrina Coy is the Alton High School Smoothie King October Student-Athlete of the Month selection. Sabrina is an excellent student and currently has a 4.462 GPA overall taking numerous honors courses, while never receiving less than an A in any of her classes in 3 years. Sabrina has been a 3-year letter winner for the Lady Redbird Girls Golf team. She was a Sectional qualifier this year for the 2nd year in a row. Sabrina is a member of Redbird Nest, Physics Club, and AACE Leadership team. Sabrina is currently undecided where she will be attending college.
LANDON MAYER
Junior Landon Mayer is the Alton High School Smoothie King October Athlete of the Month selection. Landon is a 2-year starter for the Redbirds and will end up being a 3-year letter winner at the end of next season. He was an IHSA Boys 3A State qualifier this fall with a top 10 IHSA Sectional score after having a top 5 score in the IHSA Regional. Landon was the Redbirds # 1 golfer all fall and had multiple top 10 finishes all season. Landon plans to play golf and in college and is undecided at this time what his major might be.

ANY BOYS OR GIRLS INTERESTED IN JOINING THE WRESTLING TEAM THIS SEASON, PLEASE SEE OR CONTACT COACH ROBERSON AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PRE-SEASON WORKOUTS ARE EVERY MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY FROM 3:30-5, AND THE OFFICIAL SEASON STARTS NOVEMBER 10TH.
